Terms and conditions for booking and cancellation

These terms and conditions are applied to an agreement on agritourism between the customer and Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm. The agreement is created, the booking is confirmed, and these terms and conditions become binding once the customer has completed their booking and paid for the service(s) in part or full.

The person in charge of the booking must be over 18.


Booking and payment

You can book your stay on the website www.yla-tuuhonen.fi. When buying your stay from the online shop, the price of the booking is paid in full in connection with the booking. Payments are directed to Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm via Paytrail, and you can pay with all payment methods provided by Paytrail.

You can also book your stay at Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm via email or telephone. We deliver payment details to the booker primarily via email.

For short stays, we do not collect a separate booking fee as the full sum must be paid by the due date.

For longer stays, package holidays (Christmas and Midsummer) and groups, we charge a booking fee (25% of the final sum) that is due immediately. The remaining fee (75% of the final sum) must be paid no later than 28 days (4 weeks) before the start of your booking. If the booking is done later than 28 days before the stay, the full price of the service is payable upon booking.

The booked storehouse cabin or chamber and the farm premises can be used by the maximum number of people agreed upon when booking. The maximum numbers of guests allowed in the accommodation premises are provided on Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm’s website and online shop.

At Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm, you can pay with cash, bank transfer and MobilePay application (card payments are not accepted).


Cancelling your booking

If a customer wants to cancel their booking, they must notify Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm without delay via email (info@yla-tuuhonen.fi) or telephone (+358 50 553 4264).

If the customer cancels their short stay no later than 7 days (1 week) before the start of their booking, the sum paid by the customer will be refunded to the customer’s account excluding a €20 processing fee. If the cancellation takes place 2–6 days before the start of the booking, 50% of the booking’s final sum will be refunded to the customer. Bookings cancelled later than 48 hours before the start of the booking are not refunded.

Longer stays, package holidays (Christmas and Midsummer) and groups must be cancelled no later than 28 days before the start of the booking when the booking fee paid by the customer will be refunded to the account provided by the customer excluding a €20 processing fee.
If the cancellation takes place
• 27–14 days before the start of the booking, 75% of the booking’s final sum will be refunded to the customer
• 13–7 days before the start of the booking, 50% of the booking’s final sum will be refunded to the customer
• 6–2 days before the start of the booking, 25% of the booking’s final sum will be refunded to the customer
Bookings cancelled later than 48 hours before the start of the booking are not refunded.

If the cancellation takes place because of a serious case of illness or death in the family, the final sum will be refunded with a €20 booking fee deducted. In these cases, Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm must be notified immediately, and the matter must be proven to Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm in a reliable way, for instance, with a doctor’s certificate.

In case of a force majeure, Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm may cancel the booking and refund the sum paid by the customer in full.

If the customer does not pay the agreed upon fees on time, Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm reserves the right to cancel the booking without a separate notification. In this case, Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm has the right to withhold the booking fee.

If a customer’s stay must be interrupted due to their disruptive behaviour, no fees will be refunded to the customer.

If the customer discontinues their stay and leaves Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm before the planned end of their stay, no refunds will be made for the remaining time.

We recommend taking out travel insurance that also covers costs due to cancelled travels in case of illness, for instance.


Visiting Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm

The owner hands over the keys to the customer on the farm at an agreed upon time.
The accommodation is available to the customer from 4 p.m. on the arrival day until noon on the day of departure.

Accommodation rates at Ylä-Tuuhonen Fam include bed linen and towels – beds are made for you. If the accommodation premises have more beds than there are guests and the guests use several beds, an additional linen charge will be collected.

Accommodation rates include final cleaning. However, the customer must take care of overall cleanliness by washing dishes, sorting waste, and making sure that your belongings are not in the way of others.

If you are planning to bring your pet to Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm, always notify the farm in connection with your booking. Pets can only stay in accommodation premises where it is allowed, and an additional fee will be charged for a pet.

Smoking is prohibited indoors at Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm.

Camping and other additional accommodation at Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm is prohibited without the owner’s permission.

Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm is not responsible for any injuries caused to the customer during the stay that have been caused by unforeseeable reasons, such as power blackouts, natural phenomena, forest animals or changes in weather conditions.


Complaints

All reprimands and complaints related to Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm must be reported to the farm’s owners without delay.


In case of an accident

If an accident takes place during a stay that damages the buildings of Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm, their furnishings or the yard, the customer is obligated to report and compensate any accumulated costs.

The personal data stored in the customer register of Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm is used for communicating, marketing, maintaining handling inquiries as well as other purposes related to maintaining customer relationships.

Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm respects your privacy. We comply with applicable legislation and do not process the personal data of our customers or their customers without a lawful purpose as stated in the Data Protection Act. We only process personal data that is necessary to maintain a customer relationship, offer high-quality services or develop our operations, including informing customers of new events.
Our website has links to third-party websites and services. These websites and services’ own privacy policies apply to them. Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm is not responsible for the privacy policies of third parties or the data processing in their operations.

Register data content
The data content covers the following details:
• Person’s name
• Company name and business ID
• Mailing and invoicing address, bank details
• Telephone number and email address
• Information about product and service orders
• Other data disclosed by the customer required by the implementation of the customer relationship and the service
The data controller can erase, rectify, or complete outdated, erroneous, unnecessary, or insufficient data in the register independently or upon the data subject’s request.

We dispose of outdated customer data in an appropriate manner. Due to the provisions of accounting legislation, data may have to be stored for a longer period of time.

Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm may collect, process, and analyse data of website use, traffic, events, and other statistical information related to the website.

Regular data sources
Data stored in the register is disclosed by the customer in emails, telephone conversations, social media services, customer meetings and other situations in which the customer discloses their information to Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm.

Disclosure of data
Personal data is primarily not disclosed to other parties. However, in case of a partner through which the product is delivered, only necessary personal data is disclosed.
Data may be disclosed to authorities if they present a request based on Finnish legislation.
Data related to invoicing may be disclosed to payment transaction intermediaries.

Principles regarding register protection
We manage the register with special caution, and information systems are protected appropriately with passwords and firewalls. Only pre-appointed persons can access databases.

Rights of the data subject
A person in the data register has the right to review the data stored of them in the register and request that possible erroneous or incomplete information be rectified. The data subject must deliver the aforementioned request personally in writing or via email to the data controller. The data controller has the right to verify the requester’s identity before disclosing data. The data subject can forbid the data controller from using their personal data for direct marketing, market surveys or polls. The data subject also has the right to request the erasure of their personal data from Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm’s register. Please take into consideration that Ylä-Tuuhonen Farm may have legitimate obligations for storing your personal data, such as the Act on Accommodation and Food Service Operations that obligates us to store the data provided in your passenger card for a certain period of time.
